Getting to Cairnryan Ferry Port

By car

Cairnryan ferry port is 5 miles north of Stranraer on the A77 (South West Scotland). From the South follow the M6/A74 past Carlisle to Gretna, & then take the A75 west. Just before Stranraer, take a right onto A751 & then A77 to Cairnryan. From the North, Cairnryan port can be reached by following the A77 Coast Road from Ayr.

By Train

The nearest train station is Stranraer Harbour Railway Station and is approx 5 miles from the ferry port. Taxis are available outside of the station.

By Bus

Coach and bus services from across the UK go directly to Stranraer. From here you can take a local bus service to Cairnryan ferry terminal.

Café/ Bar

The P&O Irish Sea Ferries terminal has a Fables Snack Bar and Shop. At the Stena Line Terminal, there's a Barista Coffee House which has a selection of hot and cold snacks and sandwiches in addition to the drinks selection available.

Car Hire

A Hertz desk is located inside the Stena Line Terminal building.

Disabled Facilities

Both terminals have disabled parking, access and facilities.

Parking at Cairnryan Ferry Port

P&O Irish Sea Ferries terminal a short stay car park (limited availability) as well as a long-stay car park. Both are free of charge but all vehicles are left at the owners risk. There are 300 parking spaces in front of the Stena Line terminal building, with large spaces for blue badge holders. The first 30 minutes are free. Payment for the car park may be made in cash through the pay stations or by credit card at the travel centre. You may also pay on-board at the guest services desk prior to arrival.
